That's why we're excited to announce that Pepper has officially joined the Influencer Marketing Trade Body (IMTB).

Why We've Joined the IMTB

The IMTB is the UK's professional body for influencer marketing, bringing together agencies, platforms and businesses working to build a more transparent, accountable and sustainable creator economy.

Its work spans everything from industry guidance and professional standards to government engagement and advertising regulation, helping influencer marketing continue to grow as a trusted and respected discipline.

For us, becoming a member was a natural next step.

Since launching Pepper in 2019, we've believed influencer marketing should be built on more than reach and engagement. The most successful creator partnerships are grounded in audience understanding, responsible practices and long-term trust.

Building a Better Creator Economy

Joining the IMTB reflects values we've already been investing in for several years.

Last year, we launched the Responsible Kidfluence Code, bringing together brands, creators, parents and industry experts to create practical guidance for featuring children responsibly in social media content.

Alongside this, we've developed our own Publisher Influence Standards, helping publishers build creator partnerships that protect editorial integrity while delivering commercial value.

By becoming part of the IMTB community, we're looking forward to contributing these initiatives to wider industry conversations while learning from other organisations committed to improving influencer marketing.
